Allergan to offer a $50 consumer rebate off Botox Cosmetic treatments
Allergan Inc. launched its first-ever consumer rebate for the antiwrinkle drug Botox, as the company posted a 6.1% drop in fourth-quarter profit and said it will cut 5% of its work force to brace for an uncertain economic outlook.
“Naturally, the slowdown in the aesthetics market hurt us, but 70% of our sales” are in products that receive insurance reimbursements, Chief Executive David E.I. Pyott said in an interview. Roughly half of world-wide Botox sales are for various therapeutic applications, such as eyelid spasms, and half for antiwrinkle treatments. Both segments grew at an 8% clip last year.
Botox sales for therapeutic uses have suffered as patients struggle with rising insurance co-payments, Mr. Pyott said. For Botox treatment of painful neck movement disorders, patients may be charged a $250 co-payment, he noted. Such costs are forcing some patients to stretch out purchases, a phenomenon also seen in the aesthetic consumer, Mr. Pyott said.
Allergan said it decided to offer a $50 consumer rebate off Botox Cosmetic treatments, which usually cost several hundred dollars.

I had Botox done in March of 2009,paid close to $700.00, was promised a rebate of $50.00 for it! Did everything right, sent what I was supposed to send and got… nothing!!!
Now Allergan tells me the gift card was supposed to come to the doctor’s office ( Dr. Susan Stevens Tanne of Livingston, NJ)and doctor’s office is telling me they know nothing and will do me a “favor” by giving me a free eyelash treatment instead!!! Help me!

I too got the rebate coupon from my dr’s office and did what I was supposed to do on the website and the code they never gave me the code I needed to get the rebate. What a rip off!

a letter back saying I had the wrong code. How do I get the code?
I also registered for a $50.00 rebate which you had to do first so you could get the redemption code for the rebate, I never was given a code.I think this is a ploy just to get your email so they can continue to send you information and promotions.
READ people ! The information attached to your rebate for has all the information you need, and is certainly not complicated. The code is currently SUCCESS in lower case. If you can’t follow the simple instructions, perhaps the botox is paralyzing your brain.
I tried 11.09.2008 to get on line for this socalled special code to send in for my 50 $ Rebate …whate a joke by the time i went bach to the dr. office it is know to late o1.17.2009 … If it was an a real gift to me they could have done this at the off

what a rip off! If you promise people a $50 rebate then you should do it! I have gotten nothing and I did this in April 2010!
