FDA Okays Alternative to Botox, but Agency Warns of Risks for Both Drugs

73624_5751The Food and Drug Administration has sanctioned a new wrinkle-remover, Dysport, for cosmetic and therapeutic use. Like Botox, it’s an injectable drug derived from a botulinum toxin. It has been sold in Europe at a price cheaper than Botox for several years, and it is expected to be available in this country in 60 days.
