Free Botox, cosmetic procedures for laid-off workers

About four months ago, Dr. Jason Shapiro, whose Fort Lauderdale practice Tribeca Medaesthetics performs cosmetic procedures such as Botox injections, cellulite reduction and laser hair removal, noticed a growing number of customers who were concerned about the cost of the confidence-boosting procedures because they were on job searches.

“I feel very fortunate because our practice has been doing quite well,” said Shapiro. So he decided to offer free procedures, a value of up to $3,000, to some of his customers. Those wanting the freebie had to be older than 30 and to write no more than 300 words on why they felt they deserved it.
