Breast augmentation with ‘fat grafting’
A task force set up by the American Society of Plastic Surgeons recently gave its nod to the use of ‘fat grafting’ for breast augmentation.
The technique involves harvesting fat from areas where it is in excess – like the abdomen, hips, thighs, or buttocks – and re-implanting it elsewhere to plump up an area for cosmetic and aesthetic purposes.
